Anthroplay Theatre is a creative production house focusing on stories that explore our collective human experience, producing theatre and live events that include comedy, poetry, music and drag.
I am the Artistic Director of Anthroplay Theatre, where I lead on curation, production and the development of live performance work.
Within Anthroplay, I:
curate and produce live events and performance nights
develop and direct new writing and theatre work
collaborate with artists across theatre, poetry, music and drag
support emerging and established performers in sharing and developing their work
oversee and manage Anthroplay’s social media and online presence
help shape inclusive, accessible and experimental performance spaces
One of Anthroplay’s ongoing events is Anthrotalks, a live variety night featuring poetry, drag, comedy, music and performance.
Anthrotalks has been running since 2021 and is now hosted at the iconic LGBTQ+ venue The Two Brewers in Clapham.
I curate and produce Anthrotalks, working closely with artists to shape line-ups, support performances and build a space that feels playful, inclusive and community-driven.
Alongside curating events, I have directed and developed new writing and theatre work through Anthroplay, as well as supporting artists in bringing their own work into production.
This includes both my own creative work and collaborative projects with other artists.
A core part of Anthroplay is collaboration.
I regularly work with artists to:
develop ideas into live performance
support event creation and production
build opportunities for sharing new work with audiences
